USF looked really good today...nice to hang over 100 on Penn State. Courtney is even better than last year, as is Alicia. The whole team looks like they are really clicking. Love Stringfield when she comes off the bench and brings the tempo up.

USF, once again started off slow. It would be nice to get out of the gate more quickly, for a change.

Other then a letdown in the 3rd period, USF played very well.

I think our offense is getting to where I expected it to be this season. We have more players who can score, but they usually rely too much on Courtney to get points.

Not sure I'd peg them that way against all teams, as a lot of UConn's opponents at least last year thought the 3 was their only choice. This year the M0c's are averaging under 15.7 for 3pt FGAs a game, while UConn is at 18.2. Against UConn the number was 20, but hard to say if they'll use the strategy against USF, though they might.

A few teams who played us thus far, relied almost exclusively on the 3 pointer and shot phenominal, at least for a good portion of the game.

I know you commented on a few of our players against PSU, but didn't mention our true freshman from Latvia. She doesn't consider herself a freshman, with all her international experience, and has even started some games. Yesterday she lit it up in the 2nd half and had a career game. She is starting to become our 3 point specialist. That's why we got to 101 points against them. She will be a FORCE for USF next year and is going to make a name for herself as this season progresses.

BTW, USF moved up to #21 in the AP poll and A Jenkins was named AAC player of the week.

Right you are, USFMB, I did neglect to mention Laksa...and she is a force to be reckoned with. I also did not mention that I thought Jesperson is coming on nicely. And of course, Ferrara. Can't forget about her. I'd say Jose has himself a bright season ahead, and another rise in the polls. He really is an amazing international recruiter, as well as a very good coach.
 
Once again, USF started off slow and was down 9-2 to Chatanooga, before tying the score at the end of the first period.

The rest of the game was dominated by USF.

Coincidentally, I was doing some holiday shopping yesterday, and saw some USF stocking hats, and was thinking about buying one, but then I realized I would not probably use it at our upcoming bowl game in Miami. LOL

I still do own one from our bowl game win over Clemson about five years ago. But, I don't think I have worn it ever since.
 
Glad to see Jose's budget runs to parkas and snow hats! Of course, they need them twice a season to come play us and go the conference tournament. I bet it's the only time some of the team ever sees snow! They will be glad to get back to the 80's in Tampa!

Jose recently endowed a basketball scholarship for the program and is making sure that the players have everything they need in accordance with NCAA regulations,including cold weather gear.

BTW, I'm sitting in my Florida room typing this wearing shorts and no shirt at the moment. LOL

My son, who now lives in upstate NY, who has two degrees from USF, I'm sure will make good use of the USF stocking cap I bought him, when he returns there after the new year.

Believe it or not, I really don't miss shoveling snow any more.

And I'm sitting at my desk, looking at the Christmas forecast for Tampa, rethinking what I will be wearing next week. Did not expect mid-80's, that's for sure!! Usually when we are down there for Christmas the high is no where near that! But the USF tee shirt I expect to get for a present might come in handy!

FYI, USF recently disallowed smoking at athletic venues.

As of January 1, 2016, the entire USF campus will be smokeless.

I'm just mentioning that to warn any smokers in advance so they won't be surprised.

There were a few UCONN snowbirds who I joined in the smoking area during halftime in prior years. USF has eliminated that area all together.

So, now people seem to congregate in the club area near where the wine and liquor are sold.

Thanks for the warning - I do tend to light up on my way from the car or outside at halftime....so now I'll just mingle in the Club area where my brother has seats. Good luck on Sunday!! Any TV??

I don't know right now about TV for the game. Since it's Ok St, they might have some TV coverage.

The USF official site will have live stats and audio of the game.

I am laying out a line for all three games that UConn plays USF (they will probably meet in the AAC title game.) I put the over /under line at 15 pts. I say all three games are closer than 15 points. Have some fun and make your over/under line. Then we can enjoy all three games since they are usually pretty interesting. UConn will win all three games, which goes unsaid. (but I said it anyway)
 
There will be TV for the USF - Miss St game on 12/30.

The game will air on the SEC Network and be available on the WatchESPN app.
