I said the same thing about Shade almost exactly a year ago. I noticed that every time a shot went up, she found someone to box out. It doesn’t necessarily get her a lot of rebounds, but it gets her team lots of rebounds. At the end of the half there was a play she blocked her player near 5-10 feet from the basket. Sarah's momentum was going the way of the ball with no one around her while Ice was boxing out her player that was the closest USF player to the ball. Sarah ended up getting the rebound after it hit the floor a few tmes beucase Ice kept the other player away from the ball.

Believe me, Ice will be doing a lot of big things throughout her career. There is something about her that is waiting to break out.I said the same thing about Shade almost exactly a year ago. The little things can be really important, and Ice does a lot of the little things.
When she made that baby hook shot I thought of Dolson.Does anyone else think Kara Wolters circa 1995 when watching Jana? Her footwork is fantastic, and pretty soon I feel she’ll be unstoppable

Be wonderful if she turns into an Aalyia 2.0!Believe me, Ice will be doing a lot of big things throughout her career. There is something about her that is waiting to break out.
I love that about Jana — the “Mine” rebounds. You know who else comes out of those scrums with the ball surprisingly often? KK. I think she learned that from Nika last season: quick hands can often muscle a loose ball away from big hands. When a mass of players are fighting for a board and El Alfy emerges with the ball it's like a deja vu of Stokes, who always won those battles.
