Because if you don’t get it it’s three scores and goodbye momentum and pressure.
They were just doing it there to make the score closer not under the guise it was a game.
Which I would never do because I don’t want to put 2 pt conversions on tape in meaningless spots.
I was the only one in my section yelling, "why are we going for 2 now?" (There were only like 10 of us anyways).
The only rationale I could supply was that Edsall wanted to know if we'd get it right away in order to prepare for the need for a field goal in a 2 TD + 1 FG = 17 scenario. That's not a good rationale at all, but its the only one I could provide at the time.
You have to kick the extra point and make it a two score game, no matter how unlikely that is...
