USF game thread

just tuned in. field looks a little scruffy but still looks as good as it has in years. digging the stars in the end zones

Thank goodness. First and goal inside the five: run, run, run . . . then finally a pass, and to a TE I'm sure they didn't game plan for. Geez us please be more creative, sooner. I do applaud the decision to go for it on fourth down, however.

Only 3 at least. Now let’s get points before the half.

It’s a shame. Started moving the ball last couple drives. Still in the game though.

I'm one fried dough and one more bonehead play away from bailing on this. But I'll probably end up staying longer -lol

UConn needs to accept that they have to pass effectively in order to have any chance at establishing a running game. AND, in order to have an effective passing game, you have to be able to catch the ball (note to #8). The sequence has long ago been established: first you catch the ball, then you run or make a move). That play is exactly what UConn cannot overcome.

I have never seen so many missed tackles. Atrocious. I get playing 10 yards off good QB's, but Flowers is not a good down field thrower. We need to make him beat us deep. I just don't get the cushion on this QB. We give him the easy throw, then rather than our CB's attacking the runner, they wait just to get faked out and miss the tackle. Be aggressive before the receiver gets going.
