I live midway between Gainesville and Tampa. They’re getting some attention.
Maybe partner to the Big 12?
Central Florida (Tampa, Orlando, Ocala) are expecting significant growth and many of those folks are coming from the Northeast.
P2 doors? Yes, they are closed for USF.Getting into the AAU, new football stadium, team seems great, they're in Florida.
Tons of momentum. I mean, no where to go, but they're heading towards the closed doors with great momentum.
Your numbers are outdated. USF has significantly increased their AD spending and spent $95.4 million in 2024.Reminder that UConn tops the G5 in revenue, the metric that actually matters in CR, and the next closest is like $25M short
Winning a game in Gainesville isn't getting USF into a conference. They've had great seasons before. Y'all sound silly

“The revenue figures are from the Department of Education’s Equity in Athletics Data Analysis and the Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athleticsfor the fiscal year 2023.”
So what are the 2025 figures? That was the first result on Google when I searched for 2025, and the article was last updated in January“The revenue figures are from the Department of Education’s Equity in Athletics Data Analysis and the Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athleticsfor the fiscal year 2023.”
This is the page I linked. UConn wins big in the metrics that matter for realignment. The rest of the G5 isn't close lol (barring SDSU)Here are the numbers:

Interestingly, if you drop us into a P4 conference say the ACC, as currently configured, or the big 12, our revenue would go up by about $35 million for conference media rights distributions plus another 15 million in college football playoff distribution money. Adding $50 million to the revenue listed above puts us pretty much at a tie for number 34 with Louisville:

Note that that does include 4 1/2 million dollars of big east media, distribution rights, but doesn't include an increase in attendance, merchandise, sales, or donations.
(I think we are the victims of circular reasoning here. UConn doesn't deserve to be in the P4 because its revenue isn't high enough, but its revenue isn't high enough because it's not a member of the P4. It has a very "Catch-22" feel to it.)
Yep. I just screenshot it a couple of relevant pages to make it easier for people to look at it. Thanks for the link! It's good info. This is the page I linked. UConn wins big in the metrics that matter for realignment. The rest of the G5 isn't close lol (barring SDSU)
Ask yourself why the B12 approached UConn and not USF, Tulane, Memphis, etc
They’re hot at the right time

The USF numbers are outdated as they have considerably increased athletics spending for 2024 and 2025. They know that the time is now as conference realignment will heat up in a few years and they want a better landing spot. That said, USF men's basketball has never finished a season ranked which is a big negative.
