Not even done with November and a frosh is leaving because of lack of playing time?
If I were a Southern Cal fan I'd say, "good riddance". How can a freshman complain about playing time a few games into their freshman campaign?

Especially with the loss of their "star" player...

Though, I do wonder about Cooper's recruiting? What as this frosh told? Or, what did they hear?

Either she's significantly behind the other players, there's something else going on, or she us in fact naive/selfish.

a three star (90) recruit which with the modern HG rating system puts her somewhere outside the top 100 - somehow I doubt any coach and especially one at a major conference school promised anything very significant beyond a scholarship , much less minutes in the first two months of their freshman year.

#83 composite (#94 ASGR, #66 PN, #68 BS, #156 HG)

I would guess some other reason at play.

I am guessing many of the D1 programs may not be interested in this young lady. If she wants guaranteed playing time she may want to consider D2 or D3 school or a lower tier D1 program. Too bad. USC looks pretty good on a resume.

Cooper fired her whole staff over the summer. I'm gonna guess that this kid got close with one of the assistants during the recruiting process, and didn't get along as well with the new coaches.
As a top 100 recruit, she would be welcomed by almost any non-P5 school, and even lesser P5 ones.

Maybe she was homesick. Didn't we have a player who was homesick, and
we handed her off to St. John's? Freshmen are still pretty young.

I know that someplace in Orange county can't be too far from USC, but
UConn isn't that far from NYC either.
