Oh man. Like SCSpur says, that definitely sucks. At the same time, this was a possibility once she entered the portal. Still, what a shame that it's ended up this way.Not sure if anyone is in Skim’s discord but according to him Fulwiley asked for back at SC and was denied. This account is usually pretty reliable and one of the few who owns up when off on things.

Yep saw that as well. I hate that for her but it seems Coach Staley is teaching a lesson here.
Think it’s difficult to overrate how much the team will improve simply from giving graduated players’ minutes to others. They were all great Gamecocks and I wish them nothing but success in the pros, but freeing up playing time for others will improve the team.I am happy with the Okot commitment.
I thought during the few occassions when Dawn was able to get good minutes from Tac that the forwards beside her looked so much more natural.
Granted they took the rest of the season figuring it out somewhat well, but this is a nice option.
I haven't watched her enough to really know where she is as a player and talent. Maybe there is untapped potential beyond the very impressive college debut.
I saw enough to know she's maybe not an automatic bucket, but she's far from unskilled offensively.
Can she close the paint? Can she be run off the floor? I don't know.
I know that I expected an easier transition for Dauda, so not sure exactly what to expect.
Ta’Niya was an excellent defender in HS. Have not watched her much in college but I would assume she will at least be coachable in that area. Very quick, under control and good instincts.Somehow adding Latson, who seems like the best case outcome for Fulwiley, has been completely obscured by the transfer out. Granted, much of it is concern trolling by the haters, but still notable.
Latson is the rare volume shooter with pretty solid efficiency.
For those that wonder about the fit though, her shot volume is not very different from Cooke or Fulwiley and at least at FSU made more sense than what Fulwiley was trying to do half the time.
I'm very interested to see if this works well and probably my biggest concern is how it plays defensively.
Here’s the thing tho that I think Dawn doesn’t get nearly enough credit for. As those players are coming off the bench they are getting controlled experience. They are being developed for game time - not just in practice. It’s why Dawn could lose 5 players in one year from a team that lost 1 game the previous year, and go undefeated the following year. It’s why we lost our top 2 post players from that team and still made the final 4. I also credit it to the fact that Dawn has her core players and she builds around them - through the portal and through recruiting. She and Geno are about the only ones that do that any more.Think it’s difficult to overrate how much the team will improve simply from giving graduated players’ minutes to others. I hate to keep bringing this up, but her FSU coach did a poor job of emphasizing team defense during Ta'Niya's stay there. They relied heavily upon the individual athletic talents of the players (Timpson, for example).Ta’Niya was an excellent defender in HS. Have not watched her much in college but I would assume she will at least be coachable in that area. Very quick, under control and good instincts.
I think it’s also because she doesn’t always start her most talented players if they’re underclassmen and really values seniority. So when the seniors leave it sometimes can be an upgrade in some terms the following year. It’s why Dawn could lose 5 players in one year from a team that lost 1 game the previous year, and go undefeated the following year.
I think Dawn values consistency and disciplined play, which is typically found in the more senior players.I think it’s also because she doesn’t always start her most talented players if they’re underclassmen and really values seniority. Bingo.I think Dawn values consistency and disciplined play, which is typically found in the more senior players.
For sure which definitely comes from experienceI think Dawn values consistency and disciplined play, which is typically found in the more senior players.
Agreed, but I'll also say that experience doesn't always come in the form of games started (see Feagin, Sania). For sure which definitely comes from experience
Agreed about only one year at LSU. She’ll find out what Van Lith found out… there’s only one ball, and a couple of All Americans who want it, too. Plus, Mulkey won’t tolerate ill-advised, spontaneous 3 point shots. If the Fulwiley to LSU rumors are true, I've got a weird feeling she'll be transferring again for her senior year...maybe back to South Carolina? Return of the prodigal daughter? For some reason I feel like this is a "see you soon" and not a "goodbye". I think Dawn would entertain a return after a year away from the program.
