The world championships are July 18-28 in Europe. Wonder if all three of the UConn frosh will be on the team or if any might have a different priority for this summer?

Will be interesting to see if any of the 3 current recruits make the squad....Ekmark and MoJeff could make it. I hope Tuck , if she is still under 19 , lets her knee heal and get some rest.

The 12 kids who helped this team qualify last summer in the western hemisphere were all eligible for this summer's world championship....now one year older and wiser. Certainly some of those kids may not try out due to rest, injuries, academics, personal reasons but I would guess that very few of the 12 spots are truly 'open'. With Gabby Williams still recovering from her injuries I suppose it is possible that Saniya, Sadie Edwards or Courtney Ekmark might be invited to try out but I would be surprised [but delighted] if that happened and kinda shocked if one of them made the team.

There is a 16U team competing this summer...wonder if some of our rising sophs/rising juniors targets might be trying out for that team. For example Katie Samuelson....a 2015'er.
