USA v Japan 9/10/18

Awful defense by the U.S.
Zero chemistry & awful shot selection in the 1st quarter

This looks a lot like the USA/Canada game this past weekend...Dawn is playing most of her players, in different combinations. (This is not a slam, just an observation!!!) Hopefully things will play out like they did against Canada, by the 4th quarter the players are playing a lot better together and end up on the winning side.

USA looks a little disjointed at times. Japan is mostly conceding the defensive rebounds in favor of getting open looks on offense. This is reasonable.

BTW: Fudd sitting with Brunelle and friends.

Japan 46 USA 45 Halftime

I can't even watch this game. It's like watching an SEC game

USA 1-5 on three point shooting. Japan is 9-22 on three point shooting. That's the difference in the game so far.

USA is going inside for their points, but Japan's shooting percentage for the game is 46.8% to USA 47%

Time to eat some crow...I posted quite often last season on this board of how A'ja was an over hyped, ESPN Chosen One and was not worthy of being the Player of the Year. Well after seeing some of her WNBA play and now her USA play, I can see how mistaken I was. She is a very good player and deserving of all her accolades.

Mike Thibault being interviewed. Very good listen and really breaks down the game very well.
Agree but we still have to miss a lot of the game action due to the talking. Whatcha gonna do...
