Honolulu plays Tenn. Winner plays the international champ on Sunday for the
World Championship title. Loser goes home...uhhh...to Tenn.

Honolulu is similar to the juggernaut women's softball team from Oklahoma.
They can hit/hit with power/pitch and play defense. They have played 4 games with 3 of them
ending under the 'mercy rule'...their defeat of Tenn. [13-0] was one of those.

I think the loser plays the loser from the international game

Geew....could well be right. Long ago they dumped the 3rd place game in the NCAA tournament and I thought
they did the same here.

Just a bid odd that all series long it is a double elimination deal...need to lose 2 to get bumped.
Suddenly that policy is eliminated. If Tenn. were to win today they are the USA champs...with both their team AND Honolulu having just one loss...splitting their 2 games.

I saw bits and pieces of both Honolulu and Curaceo before the final game.
Honolulu was always just dominating and Curacao pulled out several tight games
with pitching and defense.

The final game was a mess compared to earlier play. Curacao' pitching was awful and the manager kept
pulling one kid for another...all had little control and weren't effective. Honolulu won in another mercy-rule game
[13-3 in the bottom of the 4th inning] but even their team wasn't near as sharp as they had been.
The announcers rightly praised the overall quality of play in Williamsport....it was largely missing in the final.

Congrats to Honolulu! I think it was their second straight championship...summer 2023 will bring #3??

Second championship in five years for the Honolulu Little Leaguers. We are elated here with Pride in Hawaii. Some good news for us especially after the pitiful beatdown Vanderbilt gave our football team the other night and the winless opening weekend our beloved women's volleyball team had.

Anytime California loses to Hawaii in regionals I know Hawaii will win it all. Just like in 2018 same exact final.
