USA Basketball 3x3

I don't enjoy the men's game, but I did watch the last one because Katie Lou's husband was playing. They got beat by the most experienced team, Miami.
 
Here we go!

Big East matchup Villanova and Creighton!
 
Creighton is unique in all 4 players can shoot from the 3
 
Creighton moves on to the championship game with a 21-16 win over Vilanova.
 
Liz Scott has been dominant in the paint for OU and she hurt her shoulder in the Ole Miss game does NOT have on a jersey. This could make things interesting.
 
This stinks for OU. With Liz Scott out that just leaves Naveah Tot who is 5'3! The Duke guards are so much bigger (Jackson and Richardson).
 
What happened to Mississippi State? Weren't they supposed to be in the tournament?

When the tournament started yesterday, they talked about 2 teams dropping out 1 of which was last minute, and they couldn't find a team. I am assuming it was for the OU/Villanova Pool D as there were only those two teams and Colorado College (where the tournament is being played) put a team in it. They are a division 3 team and were outmatched in both their matchups but had a great crowd presence.

To answer your question, maybe? They didn't say who dropped out!

Mississippi State had a story on their website stating they were playing in the tourney, so they were obviously one of the teams that withdrew. There doesn't seem to be a follow-up story saying they were dropping out, though.

That's one of them then.

The only other thing I caught was the announcer backtracked on saying 2 teams from the Big12 and he did it twice so maybe one of them?
 
Creighton leads Duke 11-7 at the first media timeout!
 
Creighton wins!!!

The Blue Jays beat Duke 21-17!

Creighton was on fire! Its hard to beat a team when all 4 players can hit from the outside.
 
Im guessing Morgan Maly will be the MVP but lets see what the voters for USA think

Thanks for the updates. i'd never really paid attention to 3X3, but it was very exciting. Our 4 players are the only Americans returning to play next season. Hopefully this experience will help Ashlon Jackson's confidence going into the fall.
