Well, both China and and Serbia both beat Angola badly, And Team USA beat China and Serbia by 20+.
It should be 100-45, but it may not be. Thus far, Team USA has been challenged a bit more than expected. I could see two possible reasons for this. One is simply that the Americans have a lot to clean up. Another is more that the foot hasn't been completely on the gas pedal thus far. The mentality may be that there's a lot of basketball to be played over such a short timeframe, and it doesn't necessarily make sense to go all out against manifestly inferior opponents. It absolutely MUST be a different story once we get to single elimination, but as it is, Team USA has already clinched advancement to the QF.
Don't get me wrong- Team USA will win convincingly. I just don't expect a tour de force.
For the record, the men were the same way in the FIBA tournaments, and then unabashedly opened a can of whoop ass in the gold medal game.
