no surprise , Louisville was without Hammond who was at a funeral. Colorado out rebounded the Cards 40-26, and Shoni had another bad game.

I wouldn't say it isn't a surprise but it is understandable that they lost missing Hammond.

I'm not sure how you can say it's not a surprise Louisville lost to Colorado. Louisville isn't #25; it's #8 and even without Hammond has a lot of talent. Bria Smith, Mo Reid, in her 8th year at Louisville I believe, and Shoni Shimmel are all terrific players and freshman Meghan Deines has been a bright spot for the Cards, if understandably inconsistent (freshman....). I was very surprised by the loss but, honestly, this early in the season I'm not sure a 3 point loss on the road is a big deal especially when it's to a former cellar-dwellar that seems to be on an upward trajectory. But this is the Buff's signature win in the last couple of years, with its previous best win a 48-47 decision over Villanova last year.

Well, the Cards do have 10 wins including a 2 point win over Texas A&M. The two losses are to Colorado (4 points) and #7 Kentucky (1 point).

Why the surprise? Hasn't decline been the track record of Big East teams that toddled off to the ACC?
