MSU threw this game away so many times. They rebounded poorly, their defensive positioning was all over the place, they turned the ball over in some very bizarre ways (those two travels from 25 feet in particular). I've never seen an Izzo team look so incompetent.

Saying MSU should have been a #1 seed was hardly an uncommon opinion. More people picked them to win the title than anyone else on ESPN and on reddit.

At first thought I said my bracket is ruined. Then I realized 99.99% of all humans had Michigan State in the Final 4.

Nothing to do with Barkley - more than 50% of media I've heard had MState in Final Four and I guarantee as we look thru our bracket pools about the same of general public had them in FF and many (25%!) picked them to win it = done. Due to their almost un-blemished tourney history, Michigan State seemed the one sure bet in a parity year. But this is the year the parity 'trumps'.
