. . . for the Houston game goes to Gabby Williams.
UcMiami invited my attention to the fact that Houston scored all of its first quarter points in the first 7+ minutes and that UConn outscored the Cougars by 69-22 thereafter!
I attributed most credit for this amazing transformation to Geno and his staff and so I earmarked him for a Badass Award. Several Boneyarders agreed.
Yet another Boneyarder made a persuasive case for Gabby, so I watched the replay and was convinced me that s/he was right. It was at that critical time when UConn was down by several points that Gabby entered the game and had an immediate explosive effect that seemed to energize her team and launch that run to victory by 39 points.
