Notes:
- UConn must get a #1 seed and get to the championship round to be guaranteed to stay ahead of Baylor next year.
- Stanford and UConn have been models of consistency. Can Stanford keep it up? UConn appears to be set to do so.
- With A&M joining the SEC, the league has three programs currently in the top 10. Can they all stay there? Who will emerge?
- Tennessee finished the 1980s as the clear #2, the 1990s as the clear #1, and the 2000s as the clear #2. So although #6 is pretty darn respectable, especially when you consider the accomplishments of the five teams in front of them, that still represents a titanic shift in WCBB.
- Teams likely movin' on up: Duke, Maryland
- Teams likely falling out of the top 15 soon: Florida State, Xavier, Ohio State, Nebraska. Penn State: opportunity is knocking in the B1G.
- Jeff Walz is a hot name, but in the first part of this decade, Louisville is barely registering a blip in my rankings. Mitchell is killing him so far. Eventually, doesn't Louisville have to produce without Angel? Yeah, I know injuries have had an impact.
- Would you rather be ND, Stanford, or A&M? As a fan, probably A&M, but you have to reward consistency too.
