Big Monday has big impact on Bracketology

Bracketology with Charlie Creme

Highlights:
  • Charlie moves Texas to #6 overall, and he says in his article that the Longhorns will move up to the 1-seed line with wins over Oklahoma and Baylor in the coming week.
  • As Charlie explains in the article, the bubble just turned a lot softer this week as the 8 teams clustered around the cut line (last 4 in and first 4 out) went a combined 3-13. Tulane, despite its loss to Memphis, is still right in the mix (first team out) because so many other bubble teams also lost games. George Washington, meanwhile, is now his second team out.
  • Charlie now has Texas A&M as the overall #16 seed, with DePaul dropping to a 5-seed after the Aggies scored a quality win at Knoxville. (Shout-out to vowelguy for spotting this possibility earlier.)

Looking at the rest of TAMU schedule they got a few more losses and an early exit in the SEC tourney ahead. Doubt they end up anywhere near that high.

Losses to Miss St and SC won't hurt their chances at a 4-seed. It will depend more on whether they win their remaining road games at LSU and Ole Miss. Why do you foresee an early SEC tourney exit? A&M is currently 9-3 in the SEC.

Just my 2 cents but the 8/9 seeds in UConns Bracket are the toughest two 8/9 seeds in the 4 brackets.

South Carolina's bracket is full of teams that they have already played... Kentucky, Texas, UCLA, Ohio State and Duke. I still hoping for Duke to be in the Stockton Region along with Mississippi State, and Oregon State.

I'd like to see the ACC get 8 teams..... but thats a long shot. The teams that could play their way on the bubble have back load schedules. The #8 team in the conference is UVA and they haveFSU, VPI, Louisville, and NC State left. WFU is 5-7 in the conference but they have Duke, NC State, Syracuse, and Louisville left. I still think that if VPI could win out in the regular season and get two wins in the tourney..... Putting them at 22 wins.. they might have a chance. They play Pitt, UVA, Miami, and BC.
