The fallacy of these rankings is us, and how we consume the data. I learned this the hard way when I became obsessive about my daughter's ranking and started to correspond directly with people like Chris Hansen, Glen Nelson & Bret McCormick and other determined to change their minds. Luckily they were more patient with me than I was with them and in the process I got some very good advice about the recruiting process and these rankings.
All of the services have different methodologies and criteria for the rankings ,every ranking ( individual or team) is a single subjective data point. Bret McCormick once advised paraphrased: " In order for you to gain the proper perspective, assume that what I wrote about your Daughter was based on seeing her on her best day. Then assume it was her worst day".
