Update on Webster Arena Parking

Last time we saw UCONN at Webster Bank arena, parking was terrible. Very expensive , difficult to get to off of Route 8 and they ran out of spaces. Any update from those who were there on Saturday? The trains don't run frequently enough from New Haven or I would do that. Coming from Farmington.
Any suggestions.

I park at the Bob's Discount Furniture store on Lafayette-less then 10 minute walk-it's right off the highway. The lot is filled with Husky fans.

Yep, the Bob's lot is great if you don't mind the easy walk. It's right off Rt 8 for an easy off, easy on access. Some years they charged $5.00 per car, some years nada. There's also a DD right there for a cup of joe before or after the game.

the 5:45 train from New Haven gets you there about 6:15, just enough time to walk over, get a snack, and find your seat. The train is the only way to go

does the BDF fill up? I have a dentist appt in Monroe at 5 and am heading down after. Figure to be there for about 6:15 and that was my plan of attack. I parked in the garage last time I went to the arena and wanted to pull my hair out for how long I waited to leave.

I'm thinking Bob's parking was available because of the weekend and time of game. It's open til 9 tonight and they might not be to keen on people filling their parking lot.

I would suggest parking at the West Haven train station(Sawmill Road off of 95) and take the train, 5:52. Free parking

Thanks. Unfortunately my son works in Hartford and cant pick me up until about 5; Awfully tight to make NH by 5:47 and next train doesn't Ge there until after 7. We may be stuck driving unless he gets here early.

Parking at the Milford and Stratford stations will be wide open by then too.

Maybe, but guessing a weekend game would have been during their office hours as well. Monday night at 7 doesn't seem like a prime time to sell furniture. You'd think they'd make more for the night if they had someone stand at the entrance and charge 10 bux to park.

Parking available near Bridgeport train station cheaper than Arena parking. Best accessed by taking Stratford exit for Route 130.

We park past the train tracks - there is a lot just on the other side, no cost and easy walking, then avoid the lines out. Worked well on Saturday.
