Time for an update given some expanded info I have and the flurry of verbals since my last post.

** To be clear, these are not "my" ranks. Yes, I'm crunching the formula, but the hard evaluation work goes to ASGR, BlueStar, ProspectsNation, and FullCourt, whose ratings I use. **

19 of the top 50 are uncommitted

And in terms of schools ...

Since last time (8/4) in the top 10: Duke leaps from #3 to #1, Ohio St climbs from #8 to #4, and GaTech edges up #10 to #9, giving the ACC 5 of the top 9. The Big10 has the most in the top 20 -- six.

The numbers at the right are the composite ranks of the players. ("xx" = low rated player)

For those of you wondering, Jamelle's big recruit Ana Owens is now #89 in the composites.

#99 Chloe Jackson to NC St.
20 of the second 50 are uncommitted

Of course, the rankings are subject to change -- I think BlueStar has a revision coming following their summer evaluations.

Thanks for the work, vowelguy. These rankings are fun to follow.

I know TENN is on the list of quite a few of the uncommitted..... anyone know which ones ?? Besides Gabby Green and J. White ?

I ve heard nothing but ravings about Ekmark and shes not top 10. Then again Chong was POY in NY and ranked 75th and everybody else good in NY ranked ahead of her. I trust Genos judgement more then the pollsters. .

Tennessee is still recruiting Bianca Cuevas (in her final 3), Paris Kea, Jamie Nared and possibly still A'ja Wilson. I'm sure there are others.

I know they were in the final 4 for calhoun..... and in the top 11 for Belton......... so im glad it worked out the way it did ;) I wouldnt mind them getting Kea.... she is from my city... and it would be great to see a local girl go to such a big time WCBB program... as long as the program isnt in Chapel Hell...

Chong was #39 composite last year.
But who says Geno thinks she's a top 5 player? Geno & CD recruit for many reasons - personality, chemistry, work effort, etc. - not just talent.

I thought that was a typo or a 2015 at first. But then I realized she's composite #97.

Nared, Thomas, White, Green, and White are the biggest targets. I don't see Calvert or Nurse ending up at UT, although it is said they are in the mix.

Dunbar, Cuevas, and Drummer have also been mentioned but I'm not sure they are primary targets. It is going to be an interesting next 3 months. I'm hoping for another solid class to follow up the two previous years of really good classes.

I see that my Stumblin' Illini finally snagged a top 50 recruit. It looks like
maybe Matt Bollant can lead Illinois into respectability.

Besides UConn, the AAC has just one top-150 player: Cincinnati at #89.

The conference changes did come late for 2014 recruits, but hopefully Houston, SMU, UCF can start to leverage their new league.

Paris Kea had a strong summer and should move up lists during the next rankings revisions. I doubt she'll be ranked so low then.

I think he can!

The team looked good at the end of last season.
