When they were talking about building the new Basketball Center
next door I thought they should build the NEW Gampel Arena there and turn the present Gampel into the new BB Center, killing two birds with one stone, so to speak!
Get big time sponsors to name the building for Millions $!
The new arena should have theater seating for 15,000 fans!
Sky-boxes for high rent subscribers rather than floor level where they don't show up for every game and seats go unused!
Wide crosswalks with modern concessions where fans could get great food more than just a snacks menu as is presently available!
A sideline student section like they have at Duke and several other venues making it an awesomely loud UConn crowd advantage!
An over the court Scoreboard/Message board With a huge 4 side screen!
"If you build it they will come!" If Storrs is truly the BB Capital of the World, do it right!
Have the best on campus arena in the USA!
And continue to play games at XL Center to keep the Ct House and Senate happy!
Nothing less than above is a worthless waste of $!
