Methinks the W needs to start taking the CBA discussions seriously. And good for Unrivaled to give players a league to play in without going overseas.

Some comments from Gabby Williams - “Especially being in the CBA meeting yesterday, it’s very clear that the league wants to push away all other leagues without still paying us more than those other leagues pay us,” Seattle Storm forward Gabby Williams told the media Friday.

“It would make sense if they were paying us more here but it still isn't the case, even with the new proposal. And it’s very clear now that they want to push Unrivaled out, push [Athletes Unlimited] out…so I think now more than ever it’s important to push against these kinds of issues.”

With the W as hot as it has ever been in terms of current viewership, TV deals, current talent and incoming talent, the League has to figure out a workable economic model for all parties involved. In terms of Unrivaled and Athletes Unlimited, the League has to figure that those leagues are a plus in helping a lot of players 1). to stay in the states rather than going overseas. 2). helps those players expand their brands as well as the W's and will boost the growth here in the states. We will see what develops over the next few weeks or months. Hopefully they don't drag this on until October.

Before Unrivaled started I was really looking forward to 3x3. However, after watching a few games, not so much anymore. I think the quick shot clock forces sloppy play and bad shooting. I like pretty basketball and this isn't it. Would a longer shot clock help?

Wow, and just not a few ‘others’. Those are the top of the top players who will be coming out of the collegiate ranks over the next few years!

I just see it (3X3) as a different type of game. Did you see how
much fun the "Owls" had playing together? The other reason
that I watched Unrivaled is because I want this new enterprise
to be a success as a means of "pushback" against the NBA and WNBA
establishment trying to control the sport and the lives and incomes
of the players.

The comments on Twitter were really funny. Flau jae really isn't acting jk. But great writing/lines too. I had the same thought as Juju. It's super fascinating though. Like this could be a wcbb preview commercial, but it's an unrivaled commercial. Different world.

Lawdy, lawdy! Methinks even Kim Mulkey would guffaw at the idea of Flau Jae taking the last shot!

In the last two years in the six LSU games decided by < 4 points or games decided in OT, Flau Jae has had only one shot in the last 30 secs of regulation - and missed it - and is Ofer in the two OT contests.

Kim consistently put the ball in the hands of Mikaylah Williams and Kailyn Gilbert in game-tying or game winning situations.

Is Sarah Strong (e.g.) allowed to play while still in college and still keep her eligibility, or are they signing her in advance to play after she graduates?

I thought this was great. Obviously Flaujae, Juju, and Azzi should all be confident. But the mic drop moment... Azzi "Real quick tho... who just won the last national championship?" LOL. I think that sort of swagger is foreign to Azzi, but she's learning to wear it really well!!

I have mixed thoughts about Unrivaled. On the one hand, I hate 3x3 basketball, on the other hand, maybe the WNBA owners will just decide it’s not worth it and a new league will rise out of the ashes like a glorious phoenix! I’d just like to see a really professional women’s league without all the bs, bad coaching, bad refereeing, and drama that is currently the norm. Sorry but, there it is. Let’s have a mulligan! I love Stewie and Phee but they lost me when they said there was no conflict of interest in them being among the top negotiators for the W’s new CBA.
