Unrivaled 2026

Alright, everyone -- share your picks! I can say with pure confidence that my pick was made 100% off of statistical analysis and zero bias. 🤭

I actually think Boston has a great shot at winning it all if she can get past Breanna Stewart.

I was also wondering who initiated the trade. Like, are they trying to spread out the talent so that some of the bottom teams are more competitive?
That's one possibility, but the Breeze and the Hive have been dealing with injury issues too. The Hive need another post/forward presence with Magbegor out for the last few games. Will be interesting to see who the Rose get to fill Stevens spot.

I will be pretty disappointed in Stewie if she loses this first match. I really hope she takes care of business and gets some redemption for last year.

I don't get Unrivaled.

Feel the same way about the tennis and golf team things. No one is representing any city or community. Without that, it just feels like exhibition games.

I certainly understand your point of view, but, for me, in addition to having a substantial rooting interest for the UCONN players, I am so much in awe of the extraordinary talents of this subset of W players. I appreciate the support and bonding of Unrivaled teammates who hail from different teams in the W, different colleges and different countries around the world.

We're also getting to see these players in a different light, both on and off the court. Unrivaled does a better job showing who these athletes are in my opinion. The 3 x 3 style also doesn't require players to be defined by a position like they would in 5 x 5. I love seeing players like Aaliyah Edwards, Aliyah Boston, and Naz Hillmon get to handle the ball more compared to when they play for their respective WNBA teams.

I haven’t watched the season but Mabrey’s 27 points in 5 minutes is one of the most insane feats I’ve seen in any basketball game. In front of 20000+ people too.

I chose Boston. She honestly has a great chance now that she has won her bracket. She'll be the biggest and most physical of the final four.
AB has the complete package to win it all. She is physical. She got the size. Now she can shoot for range. She could win it. Edwards tried to be physical and AB was giving it back to Edwards.

I feel like AB has always had Edwards number all the way back to the South Carolina and UConn days, so that matchup didn't worry me as much as the Stewie one.

AB has always had a good 10-12 footer, so I don't understand some of the commentary about her newfound range. But yes, she is now shooting the three with much more confidence.

So true on both. Love Aaliyah Edwards but she was no match against AB college days and now at the pro level. AB had that Tim Duncan game with the 10-12 footer. Loved how she could bank a shot, ala Duncan. But now with that deep ball, AB is so dangerous. This is why I am hoping that we have a WNBA season but that they don't rush a season, full or short on the players or the fans. Year 30. Neither the fans who have been with the W since Day One, or the new fans, or the players deserve a rushed or shorten season.

Congrats, Chelsa Gray on winning the 1v1 title. Also, huge congrats goes out to Allisha Gray for making it to the Finals. Hard fought but in the end, Chelsa held on.

Looking forward to this episode of Sue Bird's podcast with Aaliyah and Marina. I've really enjoyed watching how these two play off each other so well on the court this Unrivalled season. Sounds like they have a good rapport on and off the court which is cool to see.

Two "upsets" tonight with the Breeze over the Rose and Vinyl over the Laces! In all fairness, only the Phantom and Mist have separated themselves from the pack so it's hard to call any of those games an upset.

We're down to the last three games...
Phantom vs Vinyl and Mist vs Breeze in NY, then it's the winners in the finals for the crown.

Last night's semi finals in Brooklyn were highly entertaining in my opinion. Phantom and Mist will face off for the championship on Wednesday, but neither team had an easy time of it.

The Phantom-Vinyl match up was a back and forth affair. Vinyl looked to be pulling away until Hamby was knocked out of the game for a while due to being hit in the nose. Phantom found their second wind and Plum won the game with a killer 3 point shot over her defender.

The Mist-Breeze match up was an epic comeback. Breeze leapt out to a 26-10 lead after one quarter. Honestly, it looked like the MIst were cooked while watching it live and Stewart had 3 fouls in the first quarter. Mist kept chipping away thanks to three point shooting by Allen and Ogunbowale. Stewart took the team on her shoulders and did Breanna Stewart things. The fourth quarter was close throughout with the final target score of 73. Neither team gave an inch and with it tied, Ogunbowale made a 3 point shot in the corner thanks to a kick out pass from Stewart.

Fans in Brooklyn were not disappointed last night and were into it from the start. The decision to play in Brooklyn was a good one on Unrivaled's part. I've really enjoyed this season. Kind of sad it ends Wednesday.

I really enjoyed the first game and kind of snoozed through the second one up until it looked like the Mist were going to make a comeback in the 4th.

I've got a feeling this next game isn't going to be pretty. With Boston out, I don't think Phantom will have the size to compete with Stewie, Smith, and Yeuru. Iriafen can hold her own but asking her to battle alone against those three is a tall task.

I agree. It's unfortunate that they lost Boston at this specific time. Unless they pull from the player development pool, I'm not sure what Phantom can do. The Rose leveraged this and added Hillmon to their roster but I can't recall if it started during semi finals or the finals itself.

A great angle of the winning shot from the Mist-Breeze match up. Man, Unrivaled does an amazing job with their social media.
