Here's a link to round 1 games for the tourney. Form will close at noon on February 10th.

Note that there is a very quick turnaround for round 2 & 3 games on Feb 11th. I'll have to get creative as how to pick winners for each round. Stay tuned.

Lou vs Phee in Round 1
Stewie vs Aaliyah Edwards in Round 1

How does Stewie and Phee not get byes like Arike and Loyd and have to play UConn Alums?

Seems odd to me as well, but maybe it peaks fan interest? I wouldn't mind seeing Lloyd against Maybrey.

Random guess on the bye, but maybe they did this for optics, considering they started the league? No idea regarding the UConn alum match ups.

UConn and the Indiana Fever were the losers as far as the draw is concerned imo. The Fever are staring at 0-3. And we got a couple of UConn versus UConn match ups to guarantee elimination for some huskies.

The league has almost no interest from fans and player or players they are interested in need to play. NC is clearly the best player and one of the most popular in the womens game so she needs to be out there as much as possible. It really is a shame they let the same negative garbage they have in the WNBA filter over to the new league. I was really hoping it would be basketball without the BS.

Sorry, but who is NC? And can you clarify what you mean by negative garbage filtering into Unrivaled? Asking to better understand your perspective here.

I really enjoyed it but I think there need to be tweaks to perfect it. It was really thought out though, so props to the rule makers.

1) I hope later rounds move to a best of 3 format. The games are ending right when I get invested and I think some outcomes would change if the games were spread out into rounds. They could do all round 1s, then all round 2s, and then, if necessary, all round 3s. That should get the players the rest they need between rounds.

2) They need to institute something similar to a transition take foul. Non-shooting grabbing fouls from behind should end up in some automatic points or a free throw attempt on every foul.

3) If the player on offense is waiting an unreasonable amount of time for the defender to walk to midcourt so the next possession can be initiated, the player on offense should be able to request the ball and start the play prior to the defender being ready.

4) I like the idea of having different "height classes". They could have the guard class which is limited to players 6'0" and under, and an all-around class which is open to all. Players can only participate in one or the other, not both. The all-around height class would be the bigger pot ($50k and $150k respective pots for example).

A lot of UConn fans do, but I'm happy she went to the W. She was ready to spread her wings and show she can really do.
When I’m being being a reasonable grownup, I agree with you 100%. It was the right thing for her and her development to move on to the WNBA. It’s when I’m being a greedy fan that I imagine her and Sarah Strong playing alongside each other and think about what might have been. ;)
