If they remain healthy this team has the potential to be UCONN's deepest and most talented team ever. I hope it works out not just for us fans or the team but for Geno. After 31 years of perfecting his coaching style, dedication and commitment to attracting attention to women's basketball, hard work and so much more he may finally have that perfect team.

I am enjoying this year more than any other because I know that this magic carpet ride will eventually come to a end. Not that we won't be competitive or in the mix for NC's but they will become more challenging as parity has finally been reached.

Happy 2016 everyone!

I watched the Cincinnati game again this morning. I noticed something that I missed last night, and Culmo nor Frede made note of it either.
UConn had a fast break towards the end of the first quarter.

If you remember the "touch pass" that Tuck gave Stewart for a lay up, the interesting thing about that play was that ALL 5 players on the floor touched the ball for the huskies.

Collier rebounded the ball and passed it to Nurse. She in turn shot a bullet cross court pass to Jefferson, who in turn passed it to Tuck who is under the basket, who in turn gives a touch pass to Stewart coming down the lane for a layup. Total time elapsed, about 4 seconds. How do you stop or defend that?

You are absolutely correct. ALL good things must come to an end. We are witnessing something we may never see again in our lifetime. Let's enjoy it while it lasts.
If UConn can pull this 4th championship in a row off , IMHO it can be immediately placed along side the other records in sports that the experts claim will "never be broken".
The pressure on the girls those last six games (NCAA tournament) will be enormous.

What a great time to be a UConn women's basketball fan!! :p I'm loving it!!

They actually did mention this a little later, coming out of a commercial break I think. It was very nice and as i recall Kia was the only one who actually dribbled the ball (twice I think) before finding Moriah on the opposite wing. Lovely play. That also drew Culmo's comment about wishing it was hockey where you can give two assists on a score as Moriah deserved one too.

Tuck's pass reminded me of a pair of assists I think in one game a few years ago - the first made I think by Moore retrieving an overthrown pass, turning and passing as she fell out of bounds, and then almost identically repeated by I believe one of the bench players. They were both made on the right side of the basket instead of Tuck's left side, and they were a little more dramatic, but all three were beautiful.

Heck---doesn't every team pass this way?? Huh?
Last night against Cinci--it was one like that --4 quick passes ending up with Moriah jetting one to Tuck--who amazingly caught it and layed it in 99.9999999 out of 1000 players would a bobbled the end pass and turned it over..
Uconn as a team, normally, repeat normally, accept passes that most teams can't handle Stewie, early in her career, delivered bullet at bullet speed passes to team mates with some missed. Now the team handles them all.
The trade mark of Geno/Dailey coached teams:
1 sharp crisp passes
2 don't bitch to the refs
3 dress smartly at all times (in public)
4 no tat's
5. play tough team defense
6. all interviews are positive towards team, opponents, players, refs
7. rebound, run run run, passes better than dribbling, get to the hoop before the defense sets up
8. Run while the other team is celebrating their made basket.

You stop and defend that shot exactly the way Cincy did: you watch it, scratch your head in disbelief, and ask for Tuck's autograph. It was a magnificent moment and the exemplification of what Geno calls "beautiful" basketball.

That is exactly why many of us are WBB/UConn WBB fans. Beauty in execution. I was wondering why Collier, Ekmark, Gabby, KLS were not lined up for Tucks autograph (maybe they already have it)..

Here's the same from Maya from the same side. There was another I recall that was more spectacular:
