The great Boz Scaggs - live doing "What Can I Say"?

It was on his multi platinum "Silk Degrees" album, but it didn't take off like some of his others:

The Fogerty brothers of Creedence fame were born in Berkeley, CA rather than The Bayou of their song's lyrics...

When they were little brats, ERRRRR charming little boys, they were babysat by a teenage girl who would have a MUCH more important job a few years later, raising ME.

Steppenwolf is pretty much known for Born to be Wild, Magic Carpet Ride, Monster, a few other songs, but their first several albums were filled with great songs. This has been one of my faves for over 50 years. Great lyrics, and like so many of theirs, as applicable today as it was then.

Shocking Blue (famous for Venus) did a song I like as much if not better- "Pickin' Tomatoes"

Here is one from the Bryds that you don't hear often. Stephen Speilburg should have used it in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. ;)

Deep within the thrird album, by Simon and Garfunkel, is this gem. Ca.1966.

One of Quicksilver's relatively unknown. but very tasty tunes, is this gem:

Beach Boys - Girl Don't Tell Me -1965, from the album Summer Days, and Summer Nights:

James Taylor - known for a lot of great songs, but this under the radar tune is just superb:

Always thought this Foreigner song did not get the airplay it deserved.

very good song. I like 'seventeen' from that album. Straight-ahead rock n roll with great riff!

Little Feat - Gringo. Fantastic beautiful and flowing ballad written by Bill Payne, their keyboardist.

"Red cadillac slowing down for another look at that border town"....

.-.
Paulina - drummer for The Warning.
Song is from their 'ERROR' album and she stated that she would never perform it live because it was too personal.
"Breathe" Live from the Pepsi Center in Mexico
Fan cam but very good with subtitles.

White Mountain is one of my favorite early Genesis songs. I just came across it paired with this anime.

The Beatles of course had many monster hit songs. Here are 3 lesser known - but nevertheless very good - tunes from the movie "Help" that most other bands would have given their eye teeth for:

I think the second side of Hard Day's Night (I think these are all from the first) is one of the great musical achievements of the 60's. It was put together in a week -- they either forgot or didn't realize they owed a set of songs that they hadn't recorded for the movie to fill out the album. Songs like You Can't do That and Things We Said Today were written and recorded as "afterthoughts".

Geez, now I have to listen to some Beatles.

Led Zeppelin had so many great songs. This one didn't get the airplay some of their others did, but I really liked this one. Somewhat atypical of most of their music.
