The series is for 2026 and 2027. UConn has a full schedule for 2026 (12 games) so the years don't work out.

If you play @Hawaii, traditionally you can play a 13th game.

We could have gone there in 2026 and have them at the Rent in 2027. We currently only have 10 games scheduled for 2027, one of which is Army, which may not happen now that they are joining the AAC.

As an independent, we will never play Hawaii to play a 13th game.

note the same exemption counts for Alaska but obviously since Alaska isn't D1 it doesn't come up in popular circles.
