At what point does the idea of limiting conference access become a monopoly in restaint a trade?
Does college football have an exemtion from antitrust laws?
They certertainly are ingaged in interstate commerce.

The faculty senate opposed the move up originally. of course they want to go back. they'll probably oppose it forever. Most would probably favor abolition of all football if they could pull it off. I seem to recall Rutgers Faculty Senate voting to recommend dropping football a few years ago, too.

On some levels I'd like to see UMass make it so tht we have a regional rival. On the other hand they are UMass so...

In any event if they decide to back to FCS my headline would be:
UMass says No Mas.
