FSU pays $1.5 million....

UMass also adds Texas A&M in 2022..Auburn 2023...Miss State & Georgia 2024, BC in 2025, Colorado in 2028

That’s actually a very impressive list. I hope ours looks similar moving forward. Road trips to all those venues would be great for Husky fans, not to mention the monetary benefits to the University.

Just noticed the UMass details on the FSU board...$1.5 million is a bunch to pay...

These "buy" games are invreasing in cost...I have sticker shock.

Looked up UMass-Auburn and Georgia...UMass makes $1.9 million from each...so maybe FSU got a deal.

So FSU paying $1.5 million to UMASS and Wisconsin paying the same to Colorado St. the same for a game

There are costs associated with keeping a monopoly closed

Could be a sum win for the paying team...

....home games generate around $2 million in ticket sales...plus millions more in parking and concessions.

....If you do not load up on boring cupcakes..the ticket sales for season tickets remains the same...and a 6-7 game home schedule is more attractive for the money than a 5-6 game home schedule

....while single game ticket sales may decline some for that game....not $1 million's worth.

So...buying an extra home game, rather than an away game that exists in a home and home arrangement, the money paid may make sense.

I do not know why there is a fascination in what UMass is doing. Who cares? They wish they could be us. If you want to compare payouts for games, then look at what everyone is doing. Everything about college football at the 1-A level sucks. Money is the root of it.

I was surprised looking at these game buys...Liberty paid ODU $1.32 million to come play.

The payment required to bring in a team has escalated since I last was interested enough to look.

College ADs actually get to keep parking and concession revenues? We are going to be .5M in the hole before we open the gates for Yale then give up $3/ticket too.

WTF ?...who is inserting "Chief00" for "I" and then making it uneditable ? A mod? If eye type the word eye it is OK..but type the other "eye"...and eye becomes Chief00...aye, aye mods...

Depends on how you are set up...at FSU, parking is an FSU DSO concession and the stadiium concessions are also operated by the Direct Support Organization that the athletic department has become.

FSU's athletic department, like U of Florida's and UCF's, has become an independent 501c3......it incorporates the FSU athletic department and Seminole Boosters Inc ...The FSU Athletic Association.

Good lord! Now everyone has to refer to themselves in the third person. Chief has taken control!

LOL...Billy hadn't thought of that....Billy will have to get used to the new Boneyard diction.

Uconndogs agrees. Uconndogs is not opposed to speaking in the third person, although Uconndogs is pretty sure that Uconndogs’ wife will say cut that crap out if Uconndogs starts referring to Uconndogs in the third person around the house.

This is the type of nonsense Chief has to often deal with. They apparently screwed up this time and it has a wider impact.

Must be very hard being you Chief.😉
