Liam had a great year for a freshman. He single handedly carried UConn to several victories last year. Remember when he scored 30+ points in a game …. as a freshman. All players go through slumps. Unfortunately for Liam His slump was and the end of the season. Getting drafted 29th is pretty good. Kyle Flipkowski from Duke who was a top 3 prospect coming out of high school got drafted in second round last year.Liam got drafted #29 because the scouts saw what everyone saw. An overrated player who would have benefited from another year in Storrs. Instead, after a disappointing showing overall, he bolts for the NBA shortly after UConn gave Florida everything they could handle in the NCAAs and lost in the very end, partly due to his inadequate play. Very disappointed in Liam and will never look at him as a great Husky.
Any time a player can get drafted in first round they need to take that opportunity. Liam now has a lot of guaranteed money and a shot to follow his dream in NBA. I don’t understand why you wouldn’t be happy for him.
