I am starting with Calhoun era because that is all I know. This ranking is just on which teams I think are the best, not necessarily the most accomplished.

1) 2004 - Okafor was unstoppable, Gordon was an assassin. Rashad and Denham outside, Villanueva and Boone inside.

2) 1999 - Best starting 5 ever, bench was not as strong as some other UConn teams

3) 1995 - best fastbreaking team UConn has ever had. Ollie was a tremendous point, Ray Allen in prime, Donny and Scheffer were tremendous.

4) 2006 - missing a 2nd ballhandler, otherwise this team was UConn's best squad.

5) 2009 - great defensive team. Offense was just OK, especially once Dyson went down.

6) 1994 - Donyell was dominant. Donny and Ollie got a lot better in 1995.

7) 1990 - press was amazing. Offense was a little vulnerable after Smith.

8) 2014 - I remain a bit puzzled about how a team this good lost 8 games against this schedule. Very experienced and fast team, and history will probably show 4 future NBA players on this team.

9) 2011 - this team was really, really young, but Lamb was very good and Kemba was incredible.

10T) 1998 - very young team with a record inflated by a weak Big East
10T) 1996 - not a lot of depth and basically a 2 man team offensively.

2004 team was the best on paper. But with a title on the line, the 1999 team beats them 10 times out of 10. They were the toughest sons of bitches I've ever seen.

1995 team is still my favorite to watch. 1990 team is my favorite non-title team. And the 2014 team is now my favorite UConn team of all time.

10 best, in order:

1 - 1999
2 - 2004
3 - 1995
4 - 2014
5 - 1996
6 - 1990
7 - 2011
8 - 2002
9 - 2009
10 - 2006

'99, '04, and'09 were the three teams UConn's had where I legitimately thought they were going to win every game they played, no matter who the opponent was.

2009 is criminally underrated. Also, this ranking is in terms of "who is the best team", not "which team is most significant/iconic/accomplished the most".

1. 1999
2. 2004
3. 2009
4. 1995
5. 1996
6. 2006
7. 1994
8. 2011
9. 1990
10. 2014

I was thinking in the first half up 30-15 that I would take this team against any we'd ever had. Not over a whole season, but at that moment the way we were playing. They came back to earth, obviously, but as peak performers this team and its defense were among our best ever.

1 .1999
2. 2004
3. 2014
4. 2011
5.2009
6. 1995
7. 1996
8. 1990
9. 2002
10. 2006

If th2 2009 team did not lose Dyson they would of won the NC and would of been hands down the best UConn team, guard play that would rival 2014 team and post that would rival 2004 team.

I think 1964 (elite eight) and 1976 (sweet sixteen) were pretty good. 2004 was the best.

1. 2009 - When dyson was playing
2. 1999
3. 2004
4. 2011
5. 1990
6. 1995
7. 2014
8. 2006
9.1994
10. 2002
