I am starting with Calhoun era because that is all I know. This ranking is just on which teams I think are the best, not necessarily the most accomplished.
1) 2004 - Okafor was unstoppable, Gordon was an assassin. Rashad and Denham outside, Villanueva and Boone inside.
2) 1999 - Best starting 5 ever, bench was not as strong as some other UConn teams
3) 1995 - best fastbreaking team UConn has ever had. Ollie was a tremendous point, Ray Allen in prime, Donny and Scheffer were tremendous.
4) 2006 - missing a 2nd ballhandler, otherwise this team was UConn's best squad.
5) 2009 - great defensive team. Offense was just OK, especially once Dyson went down.
6) 1994 - Donyell was dominant. Donny and Ollie got a lot better in 1995.
7) 1990 - press was amazing. Offense was a little vulnerable after Smith.
8) 2014 - I remain a bit puzzled about how a team this good lost 8 games against this schedule. Very experienced and fast team, and history will probably show 4 future NBA players on this team.
9) 2011 - this team was really, really young, but Lamb was very good and Kemba was incredible.
10T) 1998 - very young team with a record inflated by a weak Big East
10T) 1996 - not a lot of depth and basically a 2 man team offensively.
Thoughts?
