-> It's a significant addition for the Huskies, who land Tracy after he spent the 2024 season as an offensive analyst on Kirby Smart's SEC Championship-winning Georgia Bulldogs staff.

Tracy, an Indiana University South Bend graduate, was a five-year member of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football staff before his career journey took him to stops at Arkansas Tech and Idaho, where he served as the Vandals running backs coach and recruiting coordinator.

He also worked under Nick Saban at Alabama, where Tracy was in an off-the-field role with the Crimson Tide's recruiting department. <-

Sounds promising. Hope he can continue to expand our Offense.

And as an added bonus :
  • QB Coach.
  • Passing Game Coordinator.
  • Past high level recruiting experience.
  • Current connections with the Georgia offensive personnel. --
That all sounds like great experiences to have in a hypothetical situation arises in which a highly ranked QB recruit from New England at random SEC school comes out of the Spring unhappy with their depth chart position heading into the summer and looking for a change of scenery with immediate playing opportunities. ;)

I was scrambling (behind the scenes), wondering who our guy was going to help guide our QBs... saw this guys name but didn't give it a thought... I thought other guys may have been an option... I gotta say, I really like his resume... He's been around quite a bit of high level college football.. and he's young... I'm all for it... Welcome aboard Pryce Tracy...

To me Mora is young.

Did Pryce play at Indiana-South Bend? Couldn't find a mention.

Edit:

No FB at IU-SB. I'm wondering if he is a guy who was just a FB fanatic and loved ND, dreamed of coaching. Probably why why he went to IU So Bend. Going to be interesting to see how he does, I think Sammis and Mora found a guy who is beyond motivated!!

3 sport athlete in college, FB, Lax and squash His third sport actually a great off season workout for any athlete

It appears that Pryce didn't play FB in college. Will be an interesting story to see how he made his way from IU-SB to Storrs. Not a conventional career path when looking at it from a keyboard.

I kid but while it is rare its not impossible but its very hard for a non-football guy to get his foot in the door. former student manager would probably be the best road. Be able to show football aptitude without sounding like a total nerd.

Agreed, Nick Charlton took that route, played in HS(QB), then student manager for 4 years at BC rah rah rah. Like I said, the Pryce Tracy story will be interesting to follow. Guessing he knocked Mora and Sammis socks off. Interesting when you develop a connection, and then follow a career through the ups and downs. My favorite is Spags. Knew him when he coached at UConn. What a twisty turny road he followed after Tom Jackson(RIP) fired him. Great guy, funny as heck, positive beyond belief.

Actually the UConn FB tree from "back in the day" is pretty interesting. Forzano, both Holtz's, Bob Casciola right up to our man Diaco. There was a time when it seemed like a cradle for coaches, and then a time where coaches went to die. Hoping Mora stays for awhile, the "tree" will sprout more branches.

I THINK Mora understands how fickle football is and unless he tanks he's well protected and supported. I wish edsall understood that because he did have momentum

Edsall 1.0 departure was about Hathaway, not Edsall. Sad, because as you noted, Randy had it going! A clearer case of penny wise and pound foolish you could not find. UConn wandered in the desert for many years until Benedict hired Mora. Everything still touch and go, near future ok, who knows after that.

Nonsense. Randy was always about Randy.
Compare treatment of Mora by Benedict/UConn to Edsall by Hathaway/UConn

Not going to argue Randy personality, just resources and overall commitment

Not comparable, like him or not, RE did fine job at UConn. Had his/UCFB trajectory continued, we’d be in the ACC, maybe B10.

Hathaway was afraid to push, Benedict is not
