UConn wins the tiebreakers with Maine and currently with Merrimack (conference wins).

Loses tiebreaker to Vermont and UMass.

Important to remember with this site that it does not account for the probability of games being won, only taking into account the number of permutations of results leading to each finish. Basically, those numbers aren't weighted, but it does give a good view of where things stand.
 
Merrimack scored two extra attacker goals but Maine wins in OT.

UConn now tied with Maine. UConn wins the tiebreaker.

6. Northeastern (20 pts)
7. Vermont (15) @ Merrimack next weekend
8. New Hampshire (14) home and home vs UConn
9. Merrimack (13) home vs Vermont
10. UConn (12) home and home vs UNH
11. Maine (12) @ Northeastern
12. UMass (8) home and home vs Providence

Its amazing and frustrating at the same time, UConn still has an outside chance at the eight seed on the final weekend after only winning one Hockey East game since the first weekend of December.

Best scenario would be UConn playing Merrimack, home or away. Definitely a winnable first round series.

Just trying to think this out, if UConn gets 3 out of 4 points next weekend, that puts them at 15, tied with UNH although we would have the tiebreaker (head-to-head).
If Merrimack gets 2 out of 4 they finish with 15. Again, UConn wins tiebreak as even though both games against Merrimack were a tie, the next tiebreak is conference wins, which UConn will win.
Maine has no shot against a red-hot NE team, so no worries.

Bottom line, find a way to get 3 out of 4 somehow, someway starting with a win on Friday night.

FRIDAY NIGHTS GAME WILL BE HUUUUUUUGEE. Don't lay a freakin egg like you did this past Fri.

If that projection turns out to be correct: Lowell vs. UMass; Northeastern vs. Maine; Vermont vs. Connecticut; Merrimack vs. New Hampshire.

The more interesting part of this weekend will be watching UConn skate on the bigger ice surface at UNH.

So if we lose tonight we are out and if we win tonight we are in? If we tie and UVM and Merrimack also tie we are out. If we tie and Merrimack wins we are out but if we tie and UVM wins we are in?

It is in reference to hosting a first round HE playoff series or being on the road.
