I am not a PP apologist (I think we need a coaching change) and UCONN should have beaten Towson, but UCONN's 3 opponents this year are 12-0 so far this season. It's not like UCONN is losing to terrible teams. Thus, I think there is a good amount of talent on the team, with some holes in the depth chart that shouldn't be there in year 3 of PP's tenure and bad O-Line schemes. Last night, if we could have run the ball, UCONN beats Michigan, even with the Whitmer really bad interception.
Last night was a good night at the Rent and it would have been great with a win. The stadium looked great, the new video board is fantastic, many athletic alums in the house, the band play played well, national TV against Michigan, and UCONN fans cheered on every defensive 3rd down. Plus, the rain held off!
The potential is there and let's hope that a coaching change is coming to take UCONN football to a higher level.
