UConn Women's Soccer and Field Hockey to play in Big East Championship Finals on Sunday

After struggling for a couple of years after Nancy Stevens retired, the Huskies are back among the top Field Hockey teams in the country. They play Sunday at 1 pm against Temple for the Big East Championship.

Big win since they needed OT to beat liberty in the regular season.

Awesome sports weekend!

UConn football, 31-23 over UAB to clinch first winning season since 2010
UConn men's basketball, 93-53 over New Hampshire
UConn women's soccer, 2-1 over Xavier for Big East Championship and NCAA tourney bid
UConn field hockey, 1-0 over Temple for Big East Championship and NCAA tourney bid

I was watching the soccer game on FS one, and with a few minutes left in the second OT, they went to commercial. I was puzzled because I didn't hear them signal a timeout and it didn't seem like a logical time for commercial. Another commercial follow the first and then another and I started to wonder what was going on and then it switched to Maryland Duke basketball. I didn't find out the results until showing up at the UConn game and talking to someone from the Foundation. It's probably not going to rival the Heidi game but that's what came to mind.

I was wondering what happened. I was watching in the second OT and I thought I nodded off, because the next thing I knew the Maryland basketball game was on. I couldn't get the score anywhere until this morning. Wow, did they really cut it off. I'm upset I didn't see the winning goal after watching the entire game up to that point. Congrats to them, as I could see from the action that Xavier was the better team.
