Many are commenting on the questionable calls in the men's game last night. Well our women's team, currently battling down the stretch for an NCAA Tournament berth and locked in a battle for 2nd with UVM in Hockey East, literally had a win taken from them due to an egregious whistle by a referee last night.

The puck was loose in front of the net. At no point did the BU goalie cover it. And instantly he whistles it dead as the puck is coming right to a UConn player to bury it in the open net. I haven't seen a whistle that quick...ever? It goes as a tie but UConn lost the shootout, the win, and a point. There is no excuse for that type of mistake.
