They are correct about coach Ollie winning with Calhoun's recruits. Unfortunately, for the naysayers Ollie's recruits are going to be better. If he could win with Calhoun's recruits even after all the post-ban defections, then he can certainly win with the recruits coming in. He might even be able to win with coach K's recruits, afterall they did give Mercer all they could handle.

B.S. Ollie was the lead recruiter on Facey, Samuel, and Daniels.

My favorite is that we won't get recruits anymore when Ollie was killing it on the trail before the ship. Two 5* coming in next year? When has that happened.

Who? Who is saying it? And why should we care? This thread is 20 posts long and I still have no idea who is saying these laundry lists of negatives on us you listed. Most of the things you listed were beyond absurd that they do not even deserve any consideration of thought by a rationale person. I think you made half of them up and the other half were probably said by a bitter poster on the Cuse, KY, PC, or Duke boards. Who cares. Some are not even negatives. Ollie may get a look for the NBA? No kidding. He's the man. He's also not going anywhere. UConn isn't making enough money in the AAC? We got our own fans who say the same thing over at the conference realignment board.

I can go to the Louisville and UNC boards right now and bring over a ton of positive things said about us during the Kentucky game because they were rooting for us. I can also bring over a ton of national sports pundits/journalists, NBA players, who wrote/tweeted glowing positives about Ollie and the UConn program in the last week. I saw tweets in my timeline the night of the championship ranging from Lebron James to Olivia Wilde to Robin Roberts to Gayle King praising Ollie, Shabazz, and UConn but that doesn't fit the victim "lack of respect" narrative that too many want to paint us in. Nope, someone on a rival board thinks Kevin Ollie is Mike Davis. You know, because they are both black! And former assistants!

Lol, you seem to be one of two people who don't understand this thread. People fear Ollie and what he will do for UConn. and no I didn't make a single one of those up.

I'm guessing that 80% of the list (if not more) came from former BE brethren who had been predicting our demise and now are watching their expectations blowup in their faces (I'll wager heavily that fans of PC & Cuse are the leaders).

It must suck when something that you were banking on (in this case the loss of Calhoun and the lack of major conference membership killing our program) not materializing. To add insult to injury so to speak, not only did we not fall off the map, we now appear to be in better position going forward than we ever were. That has to be out and out frightening for fans of other schools who are praying for our downfall.

It took a while to get to it but I heard what Cooley had to say.

a) Shouldn't he have other things to worry about?
b) If KO has no problem with it why should Cooley?

Additionally, he failed to point out that JC stopped travelling to non-home games after MSU in Germany until the AAC tournament.

Hehe... this is so stupid.. I actually think Calhoun has done a solid job of staying out of the way... and even taking some of the tournament heat off of Ollie by doing media spots that Ollie probably would have normally gotten roped into.
