Where did this come from?Take a deep breath.
I see a very nice fan potential in our football program. The B1G would not kill off football. It would make the fans go insane and even put more money into it. We're not Indiana or Purdue. Yes, I know we wouldn't be Ohio State or Michigan, either. Who knows 100 years from now though.UConn will end up in the best situation possible for it. In a conference with very strong basketball and lukewarm football that won't kill off interest. Even in a weak ACC, teams like Maryland and BC have lost a lots of fans because of the losses. Moving to the B10 would protect UConn basketball and athletics, but might kill off football. The bigwigs in the B10 go all out to make sure that the top teams snuff out the smaller ones. In this regard, Maryland and Rutgers are the perfect patsies.

You make it sound as if games are fixed in the Big Ten.For every bad call PSU gets against Michigan (purposefully bad, even in years in which PSU is undefeated and ranked top 5 late in the season), the B1G returns the favor and gashes Purdue with hideous calls when it plays PSU. There is a pecking order. UConn would be at the bottom of it.
I would guess we have better facilities than they doWhy do people feel UConn would be any better than Indiana or Purdue? What do we have that they don't?

Since we are still new at this level we have potential. The first ten years were pretty good actually. I don't think we have reached the top of what UConn football can do but that is dependent on someone letting us into the one of the power conferences. Why do people feel UConn would be any better than Indiana or Purdue? What do we have that they don't?
Things are quiet about the basketball practice facility. Heard donations dried up and some withdrawn. Could be. A big blow if verified

We did beat Indiana twice. They never beat us.Why do people feel UConn would be any better than Indiana or Purdue? What do we have that they don't?
That makes college athletics look pointless. Everything done to please the richest athletic departments? The league refs run things for Ann Arbor.

By and large, college athletics is a joke. I often ask myself why I follow it. But hey, there are people who like professional wrestling.
Facts please.Things are quiet about the basketball practice facility. Heard donations dried up and some withdrawn. Could be. A big blow if verified
Right the head Big Ten official is Danny David. Stop at any time.
so lets make sure everyone has this right, the B10 makes sure certain schools have a built in advantage with the officials on the field so Ohio state-Michigan allways win and Maryland and Rutgers were added to ensure wins?? WTH?
Anyway..back to the real world..hope you guys make out okay.....probably will be some additional moves by b12 and/or b10 to raid the ACC..so you guys will land somwehere safe..
