I am currently procrastinating and after watching a React video on Bracket Memes I was wondering whether anyone would be interested in participating in completing a Bracket to determine which UConn WBB era had the best talent.

I wanted to ensure I included all seasons and positions but which players to include?

1. Calculated Totals of career Points, Rebounds and Assists of all players and excluded those with a total under 300.
2. Created Four 'Geno' Eras which are grouped by 'Rookie Years':
  1. Lobo (Rookies from 85/86 - 93/94)
  2. Taurasi (Rookies from 94/95 - 00/01)
  3. Moore (Rookies from 02/03 - 08/09)
  4. Stewart (Rookies from 09/10 - 17/18)
Important Note: For ease I have given each era the name of a player contained in that era however the group itself is based on the player rookies years not which players may have played with.

3. Calculated the player 'Efficiency' and took the Top 16 for each Era and grouped by 'Player Types':
  1. Guards
  2. Wings
  3. Forwards
  4. Centers
4. Added 'Procedural' bumps to ensure no match-ups from the same Era until Sweet 16.

I thought we could do one match per day (assume I would create a separate post with a poll for each match-up but provide a link in this thread).

1 point for each round won. The Era with the most points is unofficially the best Era.

Too analytical for me. I went with the Stewie era because of 4 championships and a group of talented players that would eventually include 9 first team AA’s.

Went with Stewie as well. Hard to argue with their accomplishments that they were the best. I know Geno says 2002, but that team didn't win four titles, and they also got to play in an environment where the level and depth of talent was much shallower than today.

Those React clips are so fun. I binged a bunch of the song related ones.

This is definitely a thread that would’ve been perfect for the middle of July.
