UConn vs WVU final score predictions

Todays my birthday. Born in 75. Hope they hit that number in points because i like our chances.
First off, Happy Birthday to you. If they hit that and win I am all for that.
no problem ok GIF

Time for UConn to earn the props they have been getting. A victory against any of the big boys from the P5 conference worth more than victories over Central, LIU, Coppin, MD-Eastern Shore. Need to beat the P5's anytime you step on court with them.

If we score 70, we win.
I was thinking 69-65. Hope you have a bit of wiggle room in your prediction.

I think Whaley has a double double , and as always at least 2-3 more blocks than the scorers give him credit for (let’s say 4 on the books, six in reality).

Hawkins with 16 and leads all UConn scorers.

Huskies win. 77 -74 is always a good score
Fun fact, we have not won a game with a final score of 77-74 since NC State in the 2002 NCAA tournament 2nd round (and the only time it's happened since the 99 championship game). Maybe we are due.

77-76. UConn will be down by 2, will get fouled in 3 point land but .… make all three foul shots. WV will have 7.4 seconds to make basket but WV shooter will step over the line and make a 2 point shot . But warning I was wrong once.

I hate making predictions on who wins. If I did I would put money on them and be a gambler. Which I'm not. But I will say I don't think this one is getting out of the 60s. WVU has only given up over 70 points once so far this year. And 2 of UConn's 3 leading scorers are out. And UConn plays defense pretty well too. So expect an ugly knock 'em out drag 'em out fight.

I hope I’m wrong but WVU 68, Huskies 59. Not sure where the offense is going to come from outside of Cole and Hawkins, but if we see a third scorer contribute 12-15 points, we should squeak out a close one. Looking for Gaffney to break through.

Turnovers going to be a major issue.

64-59 West Virginia.

We end up down 10 early and comeback but fall short.

How does Hurley adapt, and how does he handle using timeouts when they go on a run

Foul trouble is something we have to be concerned about

I have my issues with Hurley's in-game coaching and this team's tendency to make things more difficult than they have to be. But I don't understand the sentiment that one would be happy if they "keep it competitive" against an unranked West Virginia team. Maybe in year one of the Hurley era but we're past that point.
Road game down our 2 best players, this has upset potential.

No prediction.

Wildcard game what with the injuries, the road, the new players.

But, Hawkins could explode, Whaley could rim protect and make outside jumpers, and Akok could block and hit 3's, and we could outrun them. Cole could have another monster game and he's played on the road before. Frosh could surprise us with poise. AJ could score in a running game.

They are not MSU or Auburn.

If we don't get way behind to start, we could pull it out in a nail biter either at the end of regulation or at the end of overtime or overtimes.

Errr, I meant 50s. I hope nobody from the NCAA Tournament selection committee was watching. If they were neither of these teams are making it in! Boy that was ugly.
