UConn vs. Villanova: 9:45 PM Saturday

There is a God!!!! I have a party for my boss at 6pm on Saturday and was terrified I'd be watching this game on mute in the background of the room.

Well, I won't be driving back and forth now....I agree that the extra rest will help given that we had a much tougher game than Villanova.

I like the 9:45pm start. Its a Saturday night, no need to wake up extra early Sunday. Our game is in the spotlight. And like some said, the team can use the extra hours.

Villanova cheerleaders look on in horrified amazement as Señhor Testiculo descends from the rafters to crush the Wildcats.

I wish we lost, that starting time is too late.

These words alone should be grounds enough to remove "husky" from your screen name.

Ever hear of a nap?

Good Lord!!! I cherish when my son finally falls asleep in the afternoon. That means I can sleep too. It also means I can allow myself at least a reasonable chance to stay up until around midnight on the weekends.

I always want to tell my kid to cherish his naps, because the opportunity gets less and less as he gets older. Alas he is 20 month old and can't pronounce these words let alone know exactly what they mean. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't fight one single nap time as a kid.

My buddy has an extra ticket to a Bourbon, beer, and barbecue fest from 5-9. Perfect timing.

Sarcasm rarely comes through on its own in a message board. Use an emoticon next time. It's as understood as capital letters meaning yelling.

NOW GO GET YOU'RE F*'KING SHINE BOX (And take a nap)!!!!! :D

I feel bad cause a friend of mine is having a birthday Saturday night. But. Too bad. I don't miss UConn tournament games. Period.
Yes, it was a variation on this theme that I said in response to my wife's half-time inquiry last night about the possibility of going out for dinner on Saturday. It *may* have been accompanied by something like "howtheduckcouldyounotknowthisafteralmost25years?!?!" through clenched teeth.

Well I had pickup duty at JFK last night for a group of Husky spring breakers. Without that W it would have been a miserable ride. Got home around 2 am. Caught a few hours sleep. Still savoring the victory. Ready for hoop. 945 start no problem. Lets do this!!!!!

Anyone complaining about the start time is either 80 or doesn't have kids they have to put to bed.

So if you're child-less and used to going out and having a good time on Saturday nights and now a 9:45 ruins your night, STFU you lucky bastards.

Anyone else who doesn't fit the generalizations I just made, just ignore.

Likewise, perfectly timed for my Sunday morning breakfast. Winning!

It's a nice Sunday 8:45am morning time start for me...trouble remains that I "can't" have beer with my basketball. No dares - I am susceptible to peer pressure.

Hey, a nice 7:00 o'clock dinner followed by a great basketball game and possibly some victory loving! There are worse things!

Sucks that you will have to limit yourself to Rolling Rock and wings.

Hah, I have 2 little ones and they are usually in bed by 9. Which means that I'm usually in bed by 9:30. At first I was annoyed with the start time, but in retrospect I should have 2 uninterrupted hours to watch the game so it should work out great if I can stay awake.

I am going to my wives home state Sat morning - watching basketball so I can avoid as much interaction as possible with the extended family- going to a memorial service for a friend of hers that passed away and then going to a bar in South Carolina to drink with her friends and watch the game. My only fear is that they do not know what college basketball is or there are "rabbit ears" on the TV in the bar.

What a terrible time! I planned on being near blackout drunk by 9:45 Saturday after watching games all day. Why does the NCAA hate UConn???? Thanks Warde!

For some reason I pictured Debbie Downer saying those lines, with a "thanks Warde" punchline.
