Garbowski not in the lineup, his injury from the last game might be keeping him out.

Matt Malcom has not gotten much playing time of late.

Van Emon gets a midweek start after falling out of the weekend starting rotation.

Bottom 1st, UConn offense has a scoreless inning, Tammaro is thrown out trying to steal 2B. No score.
 
Bottom 2nd, Padilla with a no out RBI single bringing in Korey Morton. Padilla advances to 2B on the throw to home plate. 1-0 UConn.

Studley flies out for the 1st out, Padilla tags up to go to 3B, but he is out due to leaving 2B too early.
 
Top 3rd, Van Emon gives up a 2 out 2 run homer. 2-1 UMass.

The next batter gets a double, Van Emon strikes out the next batter to end the inning. 2-1 UMass.
 
Bottom 3rd, 3 UConn batters are hit by pitches to load the bases with 2 outs. Nothing comes of it. 2-1 UMass.

Bottom 4th, the first 2 UConn batters get on base. Dalena follows with a no out RBI single to tie the game at 2, runners at the corners.

Malcom is hit by a pitch to load the bases with no out. With 1 out, Shpur is hit by a pitch to bring in a run, 3-2 UConn.

After a pitching change, Tammaro with an RBI single that brings in 2 runs, 5-2 UConn.

After a double steal by Shpur and Tammaro, Broadhurst follows with a 1 out 3 run homer, 8-2 UConn.

Bottom 4th, UConn offense leaves 2 runners on base, 8-2 UConn. UMass pitchers have hit 6 UConn batters and walked 2, so there have been plenty of freebies for the UConn offense tonight.
 
Top 5th, Van Emon has a strikeout for the final out in a 1-2-3 inning. 8-2 UConn. 7 strikeouts for Van Emon tonight.
 
Bottom 5th, with 1 out UConn offense gets 2 runners in scoring position. Tammaro follows with a 1 out RBI double driving in 2 runs. 10-2 UConn.

After Broadhurst gets a walk, Morton has a 1 out RBI double, 11-2 UConn, with 2 runners in scoring position.

Bottom 5th, another double, this one by Padilla with 1 out bringing in 2 runs. 13-2 UConn, wonder if the mercy rule is in effect tonight, might find out in a couple innings.

Dalena and Malcom are hit by pitches back to back to load the bases with 2 out. But that is it for the UConn offense this inning.

Sean Finn takes the mound for the Huskies in the top of the 7th.
 
Top 7th, after a 1 out walk and an error by Dalena, Finn gives up a 1 out RBI single. 13-3 UConn. Finn gets a strikeout, and then a 2 out single loads the bases. Finn gets the final out of the inning. UConn wins 13-3 due to the mercy rule.
