If I recall (and I'm in no way letting Hathaway off the hook), but the neutral site hullaballoo was a way to get around the "All home UConn games must be played at Rentschler Field until 2018, " clause of the lease agreement.

No chance a football game will be at Yankee stadium unless Uconn is already in the Big 12. Yankees won't let football play there until November. Game would need to be played in September before conference play starts.

The car I was on didn't really start to fill up (read: standing room only) until about Bridgeport, IIRC. We may have started out a bit earlier.

Same situation for me in West Haven. There were no seats, it was packed. They called in an additional train after us and appeared to skip a bunch of stops.
