28 hard earned points plus blocks. For the most part the Uconn game went through two BAD A--players Jefferson and Stewie. Moriah shut down the younger Mabrey in the second half. But it was an amazing display of scoring on the Younger's part.
Got to give a loud shout out to Katie Lou for once again hitting 3's exactly when needed. The kid is a keeper.
WE HAVE JEFFERSON AND YOU DON'T---ADD THAT TO THE---WE HAVE STEWIE AND YOU DON'T.

Wouldn't it have great to have Stokes back there stopping all the ND drives to the basket??? A player some thought they wouldn't miss.

Mo also had to respond to a literal (this time) street-fight for most of the game...For me she's co-badass
I guess the observations of Mo getting pushed around by Mabrey2 wasn't just fan bias. Some of the Tennessee fans made the same comment on their board.

Jeez, just watch the replay
I've never complained like this before
But did prognosticate that mugging might be the only way to slow Mo
I think on the other board ...to general derision may I add.

Mabrey 1 also...a family affair.

Morgan Tuck and KLS... Morgan got beat up down low, and still managed 21 points, and an amazing 8 assists! And KLS for not looking like a freshman!

I was impressed with and feared ND until late in the 4th quarter. When a team shoots as well as ND, that team has a right to expect to win. The fact that ND played so spectacularly and still lost must be frustrating to the nth degree.

Have to say that for the second game in a row (and the second competitive game this year) the 'fifth' player award goes to Lou. She just looks comfortable out there, is doing a credible job defensively, controlling the ball well, making good decisions, and finally hitting some shots.

Williams has not played well these last two game - flashes, but I think she is depending too much on her athleticism and her technique is not there yet.
Collier has not played badly, but as the pace has picked up, she is struggling just a bit - still thinking too much, which is not surprising for a freshman learning everything on the fly.

And I agree with the mugging aspect - not that bad, but some really strange officiating throughout the game - what happened to good old home cooking?!

You can get by on athleticism for only so long. Doris Burke made a good point during the game, and that was that KLS offered more diversity six games in than Gabby does after a year plus. Sure Gabby is more active on the defensive end and might grab an extra board or two, but KLS can score inside and out. Gabby is making more mid-range shots, but without an outside game, she will not draw and stretch the defense the way KLS can.

Two different types of players... and they'll be used depending on matches.

As for KLou - as they say, it's not IF you make your threes, it's when. BINGO

As much as I dislike agreeing with you--I do!! Everything you say about Katie Lou is correct and then some.
Collier actually played great. Everyone on the team made mistakes these last 2 games. Geno must have exceptional belief in these 2 freshmen, look at the games they are getting huge chunks of PT??

Williams--My holy G did you see how high she got, all the faith Geno has shown to Gabby isn't wasted.

Homey boys/girls Refs are only at ND, Depaul, USC, Baylor, etc never for Uconn at home.

Having KLS in the game, gives Morgan, and Stewie room to work inside.

Very soon, if not already, "We have Lou and you don't!" ;)

Just watched ND game again--younger and older Mabrey were faking her off her feet and scoring while Gabby was out of place. Other than that she played a good game, as usual.
Katie Lou for Select Man--Mayor, Governor or President will have to wait.
