Just force a punt once in a while. They can't gash us up the gut thoughOnly way we win is to force turnovers. Unless major adjustments are happening 2nd half we still have no clue how to stop the triple option. And when they pass downfield their receivers are wide open.
And they are out playing us up and down the field..so the truth can be painfulUhhh, it's a Navy broadcast. CBS SN televises Navy home games. So, they are the home team announcing crew.
Disagree, I thought they were plenty fair to UConn. They only talked about Navy more because they were the only team on the field worth talking about. One announcer was saying Diaco is just a couple players away from beating anyone in the nation. That's some UCONN cheeleading that's not at all grounded in reality.CBSSN crew blows. I think a bigger part of the equation (the offense having some rhythm) is they are going right to the line after the play, not figuring out who comes off the field when three players are sent in from the sideline on each play. That we are constantly changing personnel and always giving the defense the chance to reset eliminates any chance of taking advantage when the opponent's D is on their heels. Can someone tell BD that they should run the offense like there's 4:00 on the clock all the time?
You got me. I want them to give up. I just don't think they should be falling all over the field down 21.This is a good thing. Would you rather they gave up??
At least I'm not the only one who has been pissed that after winning the toss twice we still haven't deferred. It's a good thing BD won the coin toss and gave Navy the ball to start the second half.
Diaco needs to be willing to play in reverse and have the pass set up the run. 1st play of the game was totally predictable and blown up as such. He is too in love with conservative football. Stop being a p@#$y Bob.IF, and that's a big IF, you were to believe in the staff's ability to overcome the first half, you would hope they would point to the defense only giving up 14 points, making a goal line stand and blocking an FG. The defense really improved in the second quarter.
Offense needs to only look at the last drive. Line gave Shireffs time, RB's were open out of the backfield and receivers were open underneath.
There's holes in the Navy defense. Running up the gut all game isn't one of them.
Eh, our D is playing hard. Stopped them on goal line, of course O gave em 7 anyway. Forced a FG they blocked after the Beals boneheaded fumble.
Beals BTW looks lost. Sophomore jinx, regression, I don't what it is but he looked MUCH BETTER as true frosh.
This UConn team is abysmal! Honestly, Tulane is the only game I see them winning the rest of the year.
Right?!See, now that bogus fumble/TD pisses me off a lot more. This is a game if the proper call was made on that.
Bob punting from inside Navy territory was disappointing. You say all week you need to win by finishing drives with TDs and on 4th and short, when its show time you turtle up? Stop being a P@#$Y Bob.They've settled down, but the way they started this game is incredibly disappointing.
First possession we moved the ball a bit and were at least able to pin them inside their 5, and we let them march 95 yards. Then they went 80 yards the next drive iirc.
I think it still goes back to RE (inadvertently, because he was so socially awkward) insulting Johnson after we blew them out in 2002.Beals and that Strip TD are evil karma. From what , I don't know what we did to deserve this weekend ruining mojo.
