According to the stats that cheap shot Maine player got a game misconduct.
 
I’ll have to remember his name. Adam Dawe. I will not be nice to him next year.

Mike Cavanaugh said postgame that he understood the officials reasoning for allowing the goal despite the dislodged net but was upset they didn't look more closely at goaltender interference on the play, which is why Vomacka ended up on the ice:

Looking at that play in retrospect, with a win under our belts, I can see why the refs made the call. I wasn’t too understanding live, however. Glad we won, so I can just put the play behind me.
