UConn vs. Georgetown: Game Thread

I thought for sure the team would come out on fire for this game.
That lasted all of what, 3 minutes?

I'm truly disgusted with what I am seeing

Maybe these guys need to start playing with their ring on. Seems like they have forgotten what it takes.

Every game they get down by ten only to come back and have to heave a three pointer at the buzzer. I see this happening again. It's just amazing. If anyone doubted Boatright was the problem, after this half, can there still be any doubters here??

Among other factors, the opposition is 6/7 at the 3. Anyone see a msg here?? JC, are you there?? Calling Major Tom.

Well, UConn is my undergraduate school and Georgetown my graduate school, so I guess my school will win tonight! Looking for silver linings! Well, it just can't be worse than the first half.

This is getting difficult to watch ...

.-.
OK so bad job by JC for subing so early when everything was finally clicking. Then the frustation of not being able to make a shot finally affected our defense as I think the guys got down on themselves and got lazy. This is one soft team

Its quite boring as well. After the 3 minute mark I didn't get excited again. Bazz is also putting me (and his teammates?) to sleep with his hypnotic bouncing of the ball.

I was such a staunch supporter of Bazz and Oriakhi too ... they were such key cogs to last year's success.

But they just don't have it right now. The minute they came in the whole game changed.

Here we go! Please for the love of God I hope something happened in that locker room!

Maybe we "nadir-ed" early, and will now win going away?

Oh I know the answer! I know the answer! I would guard the 3 point shooter!

The thing I liked about Boatright is that he game out with a gameplan - he was going to work the ball inside to Andre and he did it well. That is a PG, that is a QB. Nappier never seems like he does anything even mildly suggesting he is running something - he just dribbles around, very reactive versus proactive. That's not leadership.

Man, we need to go for layups and dunks, stop settling for 3s, we're cold, and the lead's only 10. Plenty of time.

Tyler's mid major skillset bleeding through in conference play.

What are the chance we can score more than 34 points this game.

No turnovers (def), no tips, no touch.

My goodness. We're not THIS bad. It isn't all or nothing. Let's just play well for 15 minutes!

We have no answer for Thompson. Thought Roscoe could really help out with his defense, but neither Scoe or Giffey have been able to stop him.

I wouldn't be upset if I never saw Napier or Oriahki play again this year.

Why is Shabazz playing, we finally get a couple of dunks then Shabazz let's his man go down the lane he gives him a weak foul and one. Calhoun please sit Shabazz for the rest of the game.

Man it seems as if Shabazz has been doing nothing right lately. What happened to him.

Is JC pussing out by playing SN, or just totally baffled by this team right now?

Not over yet, but good grief, does anything go right for this team? Threes rattle in and out. Every loose ball bounces out off of them. They need more energy, but a few breaks would help.

On the bright side, Andre could be playing his best game of the year. It's unfortunate that he's the only one playing well.
