Our defense is atrocious. Always little things like not being able to pick up a ball or overthrowing a cutoff man. I don't recall since I have been following UConn baseball our defense ever being close this bad. It has always been a strong point.

A no out bunt single puts runners on the corners, Tirado picks off the runner at 1B for the 1st out, with 2 outs West hits a batter, this is followed by a 3 run homer. 7-0 ETSU.

West finally ends the inning with his 2nd strikeout of the inning.

Top 8th, Spirito gives up 2 no out singles, and a balk moves both runners up a base into scoring position, this is followed by a no out walk which loads the bases, a fielders choice ground out for the 1st out gets the out at home plate leaving the bases loaded, a 2 out walk brings in a run. 8-4 ETSU.

Spirito comes out of the game, Smith takes the mound.

An error by Jemison brings in a run and leaves the bases loaded. 9-4 ETSU.

Smith gives up a 2 out walk which brings in a run. 10-4 ETSU.

This is followed by a single that drives in 2 runs. 12-4 ETSU.

Smith finally gets an out to end the inning.
