This is one of those games you don't want to be in the film room with Geno in the coming days. Too many turnovers and missed lay ups. Thank God we have Breanna. I was really pleased with KLS play down the stretch. We needed her tonight and she looked pretty calm. I SO hope her shooting touch is back. It's no fun to be struggling with your shot and she makes things much easier when she's clicking. Kudos to Gabby. She works so hard out there.

Doug really, really had a wonderful plan.
Really deserves the badass award.
It's possible that no team does better

His kids executed to the 9's
Katzenjammer kids, complete chaos
Befuddled our kids and they hit shots as well.

Wonderful regroup by our side... pass around the perimeter
Find someone open inside
Finally got some traction, obviously a half-time adjustment.

Good experience for our kids, Geno said
Takes all types.
Kamikaze double and triples
Daring us to find the open man
Well, we did...in due course

Important for the group to have had this experience.

I was waiting for Geno's post game comment, "We have Stewie, and you don't!" Well, he practically said it.

. . . Stewie!

(I was tempted to honor Doug Bruno, but caught myself in time.)

No the BA award goes to Doug Bruno and his platoon system, with deadly 3 point shooters. Best game plan I've seen in
2 years.
Second to Doug was Katie Lou--had a terrible game at UT Chat--and a not so good first half--in the 4th quarter she drilled 2 threes, played defense and attacked the basket. 10 points in 12 minutes. She should have folded up with the pressure defense and pressures on her to make the 3's but she didn't--that is a really really BAD A---

What a fantastic coach is Bruno. Having his players so well prepared for the platoon system was amazing. He knew that was the only strategy that could possibly work against UConn, was keeping his players fresh, and for the most part it worked well. Only UConn's spectacular conditioning and discipline foiled his plan. Kudos to Doug.

I'll second that twice- He was brilliant and we could have been picked off tonight- great game and great pressure minutes for starters and subs!!!!

Could not agree more. The team, with very little rest, goes on the road vs a very credible, well-coached team and pulls out an impressive 16 pt. win despite some uncharacteristic blown shots...and their leader drops in 29 and makes some of the most spectacular rebounds any of us will ever be privileged to see in WCBB. Complaints? Not from me!

2 of those "missed lay ups" she was hammered hard- as my suspicions in real time proved to be right on slo- mo replay. Hammered hard intentional fouls w no call. Morgan was a rock tonight.

No replay on fouls. Need to finish it...she normally does.

Yes she does- but two of the hacks that everyone appears to have missed- Stewie would not have scored. They were hard hard fouls. When she turns to the ref with her hands out- u know she was hard fouled. She is a gamer.

Can you imagine what Doug could do with Tennessee's talent?
All DePaul needs to do is plop out the $$$ for charter flights, 5-star hotels, larger gym, several $200K+ assistants, national recruiting budget, 100% TV coverage and....Viola! (OR....Doug could jump ship to a program with these advantages)

Speed of the game concealed 30+ fouls NOT CALLED by ref,s some obvious others hard to cll due to speed/chaos Replays show so many fouls LOST COUNT
What a game plan

I'm glad somebody said it. People were acting like she wasn't getting killed down there most of the night. It's a lot easier to pretend you would've made the shot from your comfy seat on the couch lol

As much as I admire Doug Bruno, he doesn't get any Badass Award on this UConn Boneyard from me. I don't like the idea of sleeping with fishes.
Fish don't sleep. Nor do humans submerged in liquids. All I can say is pleasant dreams. No comment on Katie Lou in that same posting??? Hmmmmm??

Lou, The Badass! You could give this award to Stewie every game and not get an argument, but last night the game would have been a nail-biter to the end, without Lou. For a freshman to enter the game with 8 minutes remaining, and her team struggling with a 5 point lead, then dominate the game with 10 points and solid defense is being a certified badass.

Ain't that the truth- and they are supposed to protect shooters - especially when you worked for and have position and they are intentionally pounding the shooter- and especially during ducks. None were even close to the ball. It does look easier from the couch!
